Bug:Acrobat reader giving acces denied error to accesible file (i.e chrome opens file without issue)

Our forms are stored in a folder that is acced via a symbolic link (for onedrive acces), the user has read-only acces to the file. When a user attempts to open the .pdf file with adobe reader he gets an acces denied when he attempts to open the file with chrome or other pdf viewers he can acces the file normally. 

The symbolic link points to a folder that is 'shared' in an enumerated acces 'protected' share \\Server\A$\B\Forms\file.pdf , the user has (asigned to the Domain users group) rights to acces and read the A$ B Forms folders and the file itself. 

This seems like a bug to me that I hope can be fixed.
