Acrobat DC - Error will not create PDF from DOC or DOCX files

Unable to create PDF from a Work or Excel file. Running Windows 10 and Acrobat DC

In Acrobat Distiller receive following error

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ÐÏ à¡± á ]%%

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

In Acrobat DC - unable to convert file and receive error.

I have used the Acrobat cleaner for Acrobat and Read rebooting each time after uninstalling. After reinstalling again received same errors.

I have very frustrated with this this product. Acrobatt 10 is better.

‌Please describe the exact apps used, steps used, choices made. I think you're following the wrong path but I can't put my finger on what is wrong.

Currently receiving following error when trying to convert a docx file. File was created with Office 2016.

Before today I was told to uninstall, then use Acrobat cleaner and reinstall. I did that rebooting after each step and used cleaner for acrobat and reader.

I cannot get DC to recognize Word or Excel files. I bought this software to combine multiple docx and xlsx files into a large PDF. Have been using Acrobat 9 and 10 for years. Bought a new HP Laptop with windows 10 2 months ago,

Acrobat is unable to open the word application. I believe the problem is the Convert2PDF plug in is not installed. I do not know how to install this plugin
