How to block the delete function in the adobe\advanced\security\show security properties in the Adobe Acroabat 9 standard software?

Currently, if you right click on a pdf file and tell it to open with adobe acrobat you then can delete anything off the pdf file which I am trying to eliminate. I do not want any pdf documents on my computer or server to be deleted off and if the document needs to be modified that particular pdf document would have to renamed.

It's a standard and easy-ish thing to do for Windows. You do it on the server. There should be lots of tutorials. Don't focus on PDFs, it's all files in a particular folder you need to protect. In general, you need to think, for everything on the server: who is allowed to read this? Who is allowed to change this? Sometimes you need to reorganise.

Can I set in the Adobe Acrobat software.. that I can set no deleting in the permissions area?

You can set password security, but it seems to me what you really need to do is protect these files and the directory they are in with normal windows security. Otherwise people can just delete files and replace them with a doctored PDF. Be sure to protect BOTH files and directory.

Yes, this is what I am trying to do. Protecting the directory, is it a easy fix for me to perform, as I am not computer savvy or do I need to have a tech guy.
