Do I have an illegal download?

I have a related problem.  I purchase AA Pro XI via an online download.  I was never prompted to register and I cannot locate a registration license number.  Do I have an illegal download?

It's not possible to say, but this is suspicious. It is how some pirate software looks. 

If you JUST paid for it, this is even more suspicious, as Acrobat XI is finished - discontinued. Adobe are not supplying it, so where would the seller get stock if it was valid...?

if you downloaded from adobe.com or prodesigntools.com the download is ok.

but i'm not sure how that helps you.  you need your serial number.

The software does not show you the serial number. If you were not given one, and it is not a subscription, this seems wrong.

when you purchase, you're purchasing a serial number.  the installation files are freely available (but can't be used beyond a free 30 day trial unless you have a serial number).

contact the vendor.  (or, even better, stop payment to protect yourself from fraud and purchase from adobe.)
