I am working on a windows computer. I've tried selecting the multiple text field boxes and right clicking but it does not give me the option to select format category: number.

Hi.

Killer tip:

Delete all these fields, except one.

Set this field as required (format, appearance, etc.) then duplicate it using right-clic : Create multiple copies…

This works fine, except now all the fields have the same name, so a number entered into one is entered into all.  How can I reformat multiple fields without changing their existing names??

duplicate it using right-clic : Create multiple copies…

So they will be automatically renamed.

No, it never has. It's possible to do with a script, but it's probably not worth the trouble of developing one if you don't need to do it a lot.

I have a ton of text fields to change to number format (7 pages worth). What script do i use and how exactly do i input the script? Thank you!

What format do you want to use, exactly? Example: number, 2 decimal places, separator character, currency sign, etc.
