I need to create a pdf form to print text onto an existing paper form so that when I print, it only prints the text fields not the background document.

I know I have seen this feature used before. but I am having a hard time locating the information. I need to be able to upload a scanned image and use it as the template for where to place the text boxes. but i don't want to final form to print the background document. just the text that was typed.

You can start with a blank page and either use a read-only, non-printing button that's as large as the page and import the image as the button's icon, or import the image into a new layer and make the layer non-printing.
