I have an embedded OLE-Object in my database application, wich has been created from a PDF-File.
When I activate the OLE-Server Acrobat Reader DC starts always instead of Acrobat Pro IX.
I have both applications installed and I would better use Acrobat Pro for OLE editing.
How can I control wich application will be activated as Ole-Server ?

Having Reader and Acrobat with different major version numbers is not supported. You are running with an unsupported configuration, so all bets are off regarding why it's happening. I would recommend to remove Reader from your system, or upgrade Acrobat to the same version as Reader is.

Don't mix versions of Acrobat and Reader, it isn't supported. Try with both as DC.

OLE activation starts Reader instead of Pro even with the same major versions (both DC). Uninstall of Reader didn't work. After that OLE activation fails.
After I made a repair installation of the Pro version OLE activation starts Pro - until the next update of the Reader.
Seems like the last installation wins. Bad Behaviour !
