"Submit Form" button doesn't work in Chrome or Safari PDF viewer

I created a fillable PDF and have included a "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. When all of the required fields are filled in, hitting Submit attaches the document to an email addressed to us. The only problem is that this "Submit" function only works when viewing the document in Adobe Reader.

Since the form can be found on our website, when the link is clicked it opens up by default in either the Chrome or Safari (etc.) browser PDF viewer. Unfortunately, the "Submit" function does not work in the browser view. The fields are fillable but the Submit button doesn't work at all.

These browsers display PDF files using their own internal PDF plugin. You should report any bugs with those plugins to their makers.

It has nothing to do with Adobe.

You can also include instructions for opening the form directly in Adobe Reader, which is capable of submitting outside of a browser. It still may not work depending on how the user's system is set up, but you can also provide instructions for manually attaching the filled-in and saved form to an email.
