Hi Jeff,

Under the Adobe ID here is forum, only Photo shop Elements 12 is registered. There is no Acrobat there, as stated earlier, the serial number must have been canceled  as Adobe found it to be counterfeit.

Could you please provide the serial number & the Proof of purchase to me by private messaging so that I can follow it up.

Regards

Rajashree

I would like to know if you would be interested in validating my serial Number as well because I had encountered the same problem. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ONE WAY OR THE OTHER ? if the company that sells software for the University I work for is selling licenses that are not in fact proper for indefinite periods of time?

I do not know how to assist you with your problem.

On behalf of Adobe …

There is no plot on the part of Adobe to force users to upgrade or buy monthly subscriptions to Acrobat.

There is clearly more than meets the eye here in terms of what is actually going on. Licenses are only "cancelled" by Adobe if it believed that fraudulent sales have occurred. These may include everything from unscrupulous merchants selling limited term licenses (i.e., good for a certain period of time) but not advising their customers that these were not perpetual licenses to illegally “unbundling” and selling bulk, enterprise licenses (designed for use within a single organization) as individual licenses.

I have passed this thread off to persons in Adobe Support who may be able to intervene and contact the posters involved directly.

I'm having the same issue. Purchased Acrobat X pro a couple of years ago from IVM (an established company that is still operating), downloaded it from the Adobe site and used it without issues until I had to do a complete system reboot. Now I'm told by Adobe the product is 'not genuine' while IVM insists that it is. I've had talks with both companies and they blame each other. It would seem to me that the supplier has to prove the software is genuine since they sold it, but I'm not sure Adobe is entirely innocent in all this. Anyone else taken this further? I certainly intend to.

It is obvious in a perfect world what ADOBE should do. I am not a lawyer but I could imagine that it may not hold up in court. In fact it still may get a chance to be determined by the time its all over with. I did not say ADOBE cancelled their licenses with millions however for a fact they did  cancel their permanent licenses for ADOBE 11 with the company that handles all of the software sales to state of Florida college system, employee's; staff, professors, and students as well. I'll bet they have some fine print written to protect them and I'll bet that because their software is so good and many that use it may not have any other choice...but start paying through the noise for now (monthly) myself included. Weather or not you think I am some sort of idiot that does not understand what I am buying or perhaps just making it up as I go, to me does not change anything in my perspective. I'll bet above where it says "Serial Number Revoked WTF", may catch the eye of many others in time. Others that have experienced what I have (obviously not you yet) will have an idea of what happened by allowing me to share my experiences. If you feel I am making it up that's only one person. Best of luck to everyone. I like the software and would like to continue to buy it but I already have enough monthly bills and I don't like buying thinking I am getting something in a box that I can use as long as I want then find out its not! just like Sarojini.Nagar's problem above???? You might try giving more people the benefit of the doubt unless there is a substantial reason not to. What's right and wrong is not a reason just a theory. Large companies make bad and wrong decisions every day weather or not you believe it.

Hopefully in the end we shall see how this software was purchased and if Adobe helped but all of it will end up being turned off eventually and everyone will end up either paying ADOBE every month or buying illegal or software made by a different company!

FACT!

I had the same issue. Bought ADOBE pro 11 but all of a sudden it said my free trial is about to expire then it did. The company that sold it to me said that adobe pulled all their licenses so they could sell the ONLINE version themselves. Since then I have purchased a new license from a different company and I will prepare myself for when that expires even though I screen printed all the fine print and ready everything carefully I am certain that it will expire and I will be frustrated again without access to scanning my documents again.

I am sure I will find a third party company that does a good enough job so I can possible purchase other software at that time. eventually I promise not to own anything from ADOBE again. And I will convert my work software over as well!!

Being unfair is too much for me to tolerate. Then acting like they don't really know what your problem is when they know exactly what it is also very dishonest and waist customers time witch equates to money waist.

I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but you got scammed. You were sold a false license and then when the trial period ended the sellers just dumped the responsibility on Adobe. There's no such thing as licenses being "pulled". The license you got was illegal from the start.

Instead of keep taking a risk by buying from shady third-parties you should simply purchase the applications directly from Adobe, or from a known and recognized re-seller. And as always: Caveat Emptor.

Thank you for your reply.

I've had the software since 2014/15 and have never had any issues when reinstalling. In addition I've received updates for all Adobe products.

Does this information help?

Did you buy it directly from Adobe, or from some third-party reseller?

OS WIN 7 (64)

I purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro in August 2014. Over time, I've upgraded HDD and simply reinstalled the aforementioned software without difficulty, until a few days ago. I've also received updates from Adobe.

All is fine until I re-enter the Serial Code after logging in with my Adobe ID. After entering the last four numbers and on the same screen, the following appears: "This serial number has been revoked. Contact the vendor from where it was purchased." Unfortunately, I don't remember the vendor.

But why would this happen now, unless-perhaps-Adobe is pushing Acrobat Pro DC. The Acrobat XI Pro installed on my machine and each time I open a pdf, a pop-up which I've attached to this reply, states:

"Hello, Acrobat DC

"Thanks for trying Acrobat XI . Now completely re-imagined, Adobe Pro DC is here." Of course adobe wants me to buy this.

I hope this is useful information.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
