Why Can't Adobe fix the printing to pdf creation problem when you get goobledegook

This problem has been around for a long time but finding a solution meant a lot of wasted time. The solution ~ ‘untick’ the option in Print Properties ‘rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts’. I only had problems with printing WSJ articles but other people computers didn't have it. I hadn't played with my settings and only seemed to have the issue the WSJ but I seem to have to do it each time I print to pdf from the WSJ. Why??

Clearly given the type of issue and how long it's been around, surely Adobe could at least fix it and make my life (& other people's lives) easier. Isn't that one of the reasons we upgrade Acrobat?

Correct answer Test Screen Name

The rules of Windows are clear. Changes made in printer setup are for the current app session only. If you want to make a permanent change you do it in the same way as all printer drivers, that is from the Printers control panel.

Unfortunately we we need the choice of this as some apps only work with the setting off.
