The recent esign update first pushed through Acrobat Desktop, and it's now rendered nearly useless. You fill out the forms and then start to send it for signature and it wipes everything out every single time, and removes the signature fields. Replaces everything you filled out with just the word "Text" in each field.
The work around was uploading a filled out form for signature through the browswer when logged in, but looks like the incompetent Adobe developers have now broken that too.
We are left hoping the mobile apps and web forms continue working or we're screwed, but I'm sure it won't be long before they push their broken update to the apps.
Anyone else having these issues, surely we cannot be the only ones?
Oh which, by the way it's even funnier Adobe increased their prices. Which I am OK with, IF they hadn't just broke the product we were using.
Lol classic Adobe!

Hi Nobs Inc.,
Thank you for reaching out and reporting this.
Could you please share more information on the workflow? How are you creating the form and uploading it to send for signature?
It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording of the workflow and the issue happening on your end.
Please confirm if the behavior change happened after the recent update.
We will get this checked.
Let us know if you need any help.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

@Meenakshi Negi I am having the same issue as the OP. I have a rental contract that is already configured via "prepare a form" in previous versions of Acrobat. Fields are already defined as being required, optional, etc. and configured as to whether they are initials or signatures and which party must complete them (sender or traveler). You know, like this:
And so, on desktop, I fill in my fields:
and add the renter's info, etc. etc. ☝️See how the form is filled out here with the info that comes from me?
And once I am done, I hit request e-signatures. And Acrobat understands that this form already has fields configured. It even shows a dialog to that respect:
At this point, in previous versions of Acrobat, I would just specify the recipient and myself as the destinations for signing and then the agreement would be sent and all of the required fields for the renter/traveler are already configured.
But in the latest version (23.006.20320), when you add recipients, this form WHICH ALREADY HAS INITIAL, SIGNATURE FIELDS, ETC. defined, gets completely obliterated:
Upon clicking "Continue", Acrobat fails to respect the form settings and nukes them all:
☝️This is the same document from the previous screen shots. All of my pre-filled information has vanished and been replaced by ... something.
This is completely and utterly messed up. All of the fields you see above are already assigned to SENDER.
And you can see that in the preconfigured Signature fields, while they still seem to read as signature fields, they have both been assigned to the first recipient and not traveler/sender:
Similarly, every page of my agreement has initial fields for the traveler at the bottom. These completely lose their form fields and are no longer required initial fields for the recipient:
It's beyond messed up right now and esign is completely useless at the moment.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Keith

I am having *exactly* this same issue. My meticulously crafted rental agreement form, which already has form fields specific for the renter (recipient signer) and myself (sender) gets completely clobbered when I go to send it for signatures. My workflow is to fill in the fields required for me (sender) and then send to the renter and then me for signatures. But when I do this (either from desktop or via uploading to document cloud), Acrobat/esign ignores the already configured fields and replaces everything with a "text" field and loses all of the esign configuration. This is beyond effed up... It makes Acrobat signing completely useless.

@Nobs Inc. the workaround at the moment would seem to be select the "Disable New Experience" option in the new main menu. This restored proper functionality for me. I didn't realize that option existed until I saw it mentioned in another post.
Best Regards,
Keith

I didn't know about it either, I will have to give this a try. Right now Adobe is asking me to screen record a video of work flow. I don't have time to debug their system for them. Thanks for the info on this.
Best,

Hi Nobs Inc. and leisureaddicts,
The team is working on this issue. However, we need the test file to replicate the behavior.
Could you please share a sample/ test file with all the form fields you added that are not working on uploading to Acrobat Sign? Also, fill in the form fields you filled in before uploading the form.
You may share the file using the steps suggested under the "Share an anonymous or public link to file" in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/sharing-pdfs.html. Or you may upload the file to any other cloud storage and share the public link to the file with us.
Thanks,
Meenakshi
