Adobe Reader 8.1 has stopped working.. will close and notify you "if" there is a solution

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache.. Deleted all traces in the registry and tried everything to get the adobe reader to perform correctly. Each time I go to sign and submit documents the Adobe reader gives the above error message and closes and the documents do not get submitted.
