Does anyone know how to stop adobe sign from changing the date formats in my documents?

Correct answer SimonATS

I use Acrobat form field where my yyyy-mm-dd format is an option.  When I try to send the form I have to "correct" the date format to the american format

Hi Fredrik,

I assume you using a regular Acrobat field and using the Format tab in the field properties? If so Adobe Sign does not support that.

You need to use a special syntax for the naming of you field, called text tags.

what kind of date field is needed? Do you need an automatic date field that populates the current time, or do you want the signer to enter a date?

See following link about text tagging and acrobat forms for Adobe Sign use

Hi ericr56292458

Could you please share the screenshots of the different date formats that are visible on your document so that we can diagnose the issue correctly.

Regards,

Aadesh

Hi defaultvwe54qhapdar,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

Could you please let us know the date format you are using and the issue that occurs? We will check with the team to see if anything can be done.

Please refer to the information in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3OqajN3. Check if that helps.

Thanks

Meenakshi

When I used to send Adobe sign I would designate who I wanted to sign in what box (in the case of multiple signatures) and then insert a date box for the appropriate person. That would be it, simple. Now, it automatically defaults to EU date style (day/month/year), and you have to remember to change it to American style (month/day/year) EVERY SINGLE TIME. Either make it so that once you change it to American style, it stays like that until you change it again, or have it default to American style since we ARE IN AMERICA, or have a tab where you can designate default settings.  Looking at the message boards, I am not the only person having this problem. I understand you want to jazz up the program but I am too busy to change the date EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEND SOMETHING, and I send multiple things a day.  Everyone at work hates this update. Thank you.
