I want a field to show based on whether the signer puts information into another field.  Is there a way to do that?

Yes.  Let's say you want to make them enter a phone number if they enter a name in a particular place, with the fields being named FieldPhone and FieldName.

In this example, you would right click on FieldPhone, click Edit, and click Conditions.

You would select Show this field when Any of the following condition(s) are true.

You would select FieldName, click ≠, and leave the last field blank.

This tells Sign to show FieldPhone only when FieldName has something in it.

I hope this example helps.

my question is similar and I hope you can help

I want a field to offer  options based on selected options the signer selects from a previous field. ie: we contract/sell options based on numerous categories so if you are in the category of X you can only purchase option 3, 5, or 7....if you are category G you can purchase options 5, 8, or 10....etc.  Is there a way to do this is Adobe Sign so they select their category then are only shown options that apply to them? THANK YOU in advance for any help! ?

Yes, you'd do something very similar.

Let's call your fields Category and Option03.

You would right click on Option03, click Edit, and click Conditions.  You'd select Show this field when Any of the following condition(s) are true.  You'd select Category, click =, and select X (or G, or whatever your value is).  This will tell sign to only show that option when category X is selected.

Repeat until you've done all the options.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! I would love to attempt this but  I am not finding the option [after edit] to add 'conditions'- am guessing that is on more $ level of Adobe Sign:)? Ah well darn it- not sure if I will upgrade - we use Prosper Works CRM now and I think DocuSign integrates with them....

Hi.  I am trying to do something similar.  However when I right click I don't get an option to 'edit'.  I am using Acrobat Pro DC.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi MJP1027,

Thank you for reaching out.

When adding a form field, select the Customize field. Then, scroll down the left-hand pane tool and click Add or Edit conditions. Check the screenshot below:
