Dates Auto fill for esignatures

I can't figure out when sending documents for esignatures, to have the name auto fill so they don't have to type it in, and the date to automatically fill when they sign

Hi @Taproot EFT — I think there are a few options here, depending on precisely what you're trying to do. I've outlined them below.

If a signer is signed into their account at signing, their name will auto-populate in name fields. If they are not signed in, it will not.

If you as the sender want to be able to predefine someone's name (e.g. Johnny Appleseed) when you're sending the document to them, you will need to have a setting turned on that allows a recipient name to be defined on the Send page. This requires that you have access to the Account page, or that you ask an admin who does to turn this on. Here's a screenshot of the setting:

When this is turned on, the sender will be able to define a participant's name at the time of send. This is shown in the screenshot below:

Regarding the date field, ensure that you are using the Date field (under Signer Info. Fields) rather than a text field with a date selection for data validation. The Date field associated with signatures always auto-populates at the time of signing.

    Hope this helps!

    About the last part:

"Regarding the date field, ensure that you are using the Date field (under Signer Info. Fields) rather than a text field with a date selection for data validation. The Date field associated with signatures always auto-populates at the time of signing. "

Where is that located exactly? I wasn't seeing it when testing sending out documents to get esigned. Thanks! 🙂

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
