Esign (Fill & Sign Yourself) suddenly giving me a gray box instead of signature

Using Acrobat Pro desktop app. When I try to drag my signature into the document (which I have done MANY times) I'm getting a gray box istead. This feature is working in the online CC app, but I need to get it fixed in my desktop app. I have tried rebooting. Instead of my signature, this is what I see now. Any thoughts?

Sorry, Have you tried contacting Adobe thru their chat? They should be able to help.

Use a browser that allows popups and cookies

Open in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
