Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to counter sign documents that have now been signed by customers. Is this something i have to set up before i send the document for signing or can i do it after?

Thanks

Please be informed that it wont be possible to sign the already signed document as it gets locked & encrypted once the transaction gets completed.

You can't even upload the signed document to place your signature on it.

So there is a workaround... You can save the signed PDF as a JPG and then open back up as a PDF to sign. Each page becomes a JPG so you need to Combine them back into a PDF and then use Sign & Fill to add in your signatures and any text you want.

Or, you can simply open the signed PDF in a browser (such as Chrome) and Print To PDF, then open that file with Acrobat and you will be able to Sign & Fill. The quality is preserved perfectly.

No, some businesses want to receive a part signed document only, and then be able to set up for countersignature separately.  I do this all time when a business sends me a part signed PDF that has been e-signed using DocuSign or other e-signature apps.  They send me a part signed PDF and I set up for countersignature my side.  No issues doing it this way round,

Hi Shelleyh,

I Agree. One of my clients Just asked me to sign a PDF document that they also want to counter sign. They asked me to save it to My computer and then send it to them as an attachment, but I don't know how to do this. Do you have any feedback as to how I can resolve this?

Hi torif17906404,

If you need to sign the document at the last then please add your email address in the Recipient field after signers email address, add a signature field for yourself and assign it to yourself. Now send the document for signature.

Once the document is signed by the signer, it will come back to you for signature and you can sign the document now.

Hi Aadesh,

Thank you for your answer to my question. It is very helpful, and will certainly bear that in mind for the future.

Is there any way to sign a document once it has already been signed?

Thanks,
