Is it possible to *not* save the signed documents in the Adobe Sign history?

For a German organisation with more strict data protection requirements than those defined in the GDPR, it would be mandatory not to save the actual contracts in the Adobe Sign history as they must not keep permanent data histories in an externally hosted cloud environment, in order to be legally able to use Adobe Sign.

Question 1: Is this actually possible and how?

Question 2: Is it possible to keep the (Audit-)history in Adobe Sign, without keeping the actual signed docs in Adobe Sign?
