Question

Permissions Password (ONCE AGAIN)

I've scoured countelss threads in this forum and cannot find a solution (even though plenty of thread have notated a "solution", none of which are... that ive found at least)

I am the author of the document. I did not set a permissions password when I dispatched the document for esign.

Why is there a permissions password if I did not set it?

Is this a default setting within the new Adobe Esign?

Where can I find the permissions password?

I want to clarify again due to the lack of accurate answers in previous threads. I am the author of this document and I did not set a permissions password.

Thank you,

Larry

PS - I posted this on the acrobat forum (since esign is a feature of acrobat, or was anyways) and was asked to post here.  I've attached a 'sample' document that I have esigned myself as requested by a previous Adobe employee within the acrobat forum.

When a document is signed using Acrobat Sign, the document is automatically "locked".

This feature cannot be removed.

Please review the error message I am receiving:

I am the author of the document, but I do not have the password. This brings me back to my original questions in my post;

Read above! It does not matter that you are the owner of the  document.

I signed it via the Adobe Sign Web Portal. Its a pretty self explanatory. I added my email address in as the recipient/signer. Uploaded the document, added a signature box for the recipient/signer (myself) and sent the document. Once I received it, I signed it.
