"Authentication Failed". when requesting a signature

I open my PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro, request a signature, add an email address, and click on "Specify Where to Sign", and I get "Authentication Failed".

Verify the profile you sign in with.  If you purchsed the license yourself you should sign in using Personal Profile.  If the license was assigned to you usually you should choose work profile.

Please let us know if you still receive the error message when sending the document for signature.

We have checked the account with the email address used to sign in here on the Community board. The account seems to be fine.

Share the screenshot of the complete error message.

I am also having this error. I am signed in using my work account. I have un-installed and re-installed & still get the same error.

When "Authentication Failed" message appears it is usually a entitlement issue.  Adobe need to "clean" your account.  I would contact them through the chat and ask them to ARCHIVE your account.  Make sure to backup your documents in the cloud since they could be wiped out when archiving the account.

 

Use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=auto
Open in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
