Question

Sending multiple templates to one recipient

We used to be able to select multiple document templates and send them all at the same time to one recipient who would then open and sign them all and then all would be sent back in one document.

With the latest update this is no longer possible, we get an error that says "multiple e-sign templates cannot be sent for e-signatures. Please select one"

I am wondering why this feature was removed and if there's any way to get it back.

We have multiple templates saved in our library and pick and choose which different combination of templates need to be sent to each client. It is much more efficient to send them all as one package as we previously could.

I believe the way to do this is now to select just one document template to send (presumably the top doc) from the point below. Then, once you have done so, you can add additional documents (including templates) from the original interface that looked like the second image below. But... I may only be getting that because I have stuff that "only exists in the legacy view".

Hi Jeff23546817mf2v,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Could you please check and confirm if the issue occurs only when you try to send multiple templates at a go?

Did you check if the same happens when selecting files from other locations?

Also, let us know the Acrobat Sign plan you are using. We will get this workflow checked with the team.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

I just selected two from "Documents" and the tool combined them. (In other words, the above failure did not occur.) After adding some fields, I was able to send the agreement for signatures.

But this is no replacement for what's been broken.

I have various elements, many of which have form fields, which are combined (A, plus (b, c, or d) plus E, plus (f or g) to have one thing for the person to sign. Those already have the fields in them (I do not want to have to add them where it's a routine type of document. And they are kept in the Templates so they are there to use.

This is on Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Hi Jeff23546817mf2v and davidh49131110,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Please share more information on how you are adding documents to send for signature. What happens when you try to add multiple documents? Share the screenshot of the options available at your end.

Also, confirm the Acrobat Sign plan you are using. We will check with the team for more information on this.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hello, we used to be able to select multiple templates before sending them for signature. We could add additional agreements or select which agreements to attach from our templates.

Now that is no longer an option (that i am able to find).

Now I send one agreement, then select "send another agreement" which takes me to my first screenshot where it says "select files"

From the dropdown i select "from e-sign templates"

Which takes me to a list of templates. Screenshot "select multiple files" shows i am able to put checkboxes next to multiple files.

However when i click "continue" after selecting multiple files and then "continue" again after being prompted to re arrange them i get an error message. Screenshot 3 shows the red error banner in the lower right hand corner "multiple e-sign templates cannot be sent for e-signatures. Please select one."

My Acrobat plan is Acrobat Pro

I have the same/similar issue. I used to send multiple pdfs to a client for signing at once. Now I need to send them individually or combine them into one.

This is a massive step backwards in the system and I'm looking for an alternative.

I really don't understand why a rollout is implemented which removes so much functionality.
