Signing Order Broken in New Version, and Other Bugs

  • I can no longer set my agreements so users can sign in any order. Even if I uncheck "Recipients must sign in order", it still forces a signing order. However, it doesn't do this consistently. Sometimes it forces the order and sometimes it doesn't. Changing the admin option also has no effect on this.
  • When signing, sometimes it shows a different person's signature block than the one that is currently signing.
  • When signing, the "Sign arrow" on the left side of the document is sometimes pointing to the wrong signature block.
  • When signing, the "next" button sometimes takes you to the wrong signature block

When signing, none of these problems are present if I hit the question mark in the top right of the screen and switch to the classic experience.

For anyone running into these issues, I found a setting that defaults to the classic experience for signers, which seems to fix all of these bugs:

Admin -> Account Settings -> Global Settings -> New Recipient Experience -> Turn off "Enable the modern experience..."

However, I should note that all the bugs are still present in the "modern experience", so please don't treat this post as solved.

Hi Stephane30690527gegt,

Thank you for reaching out.

This appears to be weird behavior. We tried to check, and the features are working fine on our end.

Could you please share the screen recording showing all these workflows that are not working? We will share those with the team to check this further. We will ensure that this does not go unnoticed.

Feel free to let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,

I have uploaded several files demonstrating the following:

1 - Creating Agreement

You can see in this image that the "Recipients must sign in order" checkbox is not checked. I have redacted my personal email addresses for privacy, but I used two different email addresses for the two recipients.

2 - Editing and Sending

You can see in this video that Jane Doe's signature comes first, and John Doe's signature comes second.

3 - John Doe Signing Attempt 1

In this video, I click on the link sent to John Doe. However, it lets me enter a signature in Jane Doe's signature block. I enter John's signature there to demonstrate that it lets me sign in the wrong spot. Then I remove the signature. The signature block then appears and disappears as I scroll up and down the document.

When I scroll down to John's actual signature spot, it does not allow me to sign. I click the "next" button multiple times to take me to John's signature, but it always takes me to the wrong place in the document.

4 - John Doe Signing Attempt 2

This is similar to the previous video, but shows that the signature block in Jane's spot appears and disappears alternately as I scroll, even if I don't enter a signature there.

5 - Jane Doe Signing Attempt

The signature block shows correctly on Jane's signature here, but if I scroll down to John's signature, it allows me to sign there as well. If I scroll up and down, the signature block appears and disappears. If I sign in the wrong spot (John's signature spot), Jane's signature then disappears. I refresh the screen and sign in Jane's signature spot. Then when I scroll down to John's signature spot, Jane's signature alternately appears and disappears as I scroll.

Sample Documents

I've included some samples of the documents I used. Note that these documents include hidden text to auto-generate the signature blocks (eg. {{*Sig_es_:signer1:signature}}). I have made this text red instead of white in the attached samples. I suspect these text tags have something to do with the bugs, as I have not been able to reproduce the issue with signature blocks that are not auto-generated.
