Adobe Express iOS app

New Here ,

Hi. Newbie here 👋

I want my images to appear on a white background. I managed - somehow- to do this yesterday, but today I can't figure out how I accomplished that to save my life. I know that I started by selecting just the main image (by long-pressing on the image) in my photo roll. Then 2 options  pop up: copy or share. I shared to Adobe Express. I have been able to export an image with a white background from AE to my photo album, but the background is a small square just barely large enough to contain the image. I need it to export it  with the white background in a 4x3 aspect ratio (1280x960), the standard ratio for horizontal iOS photos.

I've tried starting with Blank Canvas > Device > Acpect Ratio 4x3, then Background > Colors > White, which does give me the white background that I want, and it's in the 4x3 aspect ratio. So far so good. But how do I get my image on top of the white background?

mind you, I'm using the free Photoshop Express app.

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure, but I think you maybe have used the Quick Action " Remove Background" on the Adobe Express Startpage? That would exactly do what you have described. Hope that helps.

Henrik

One would think! But there is no ‘remove background’ option; the option is
‘replace background’. When you select ‘replace background’, it prompts you
to select a photo from your photo roll.
Then step 2 says ‘select background’, and it pulls up your photo roll
again. So basically it wants you to choose another photo to be the
background. You can also choose from their canned backgrounds (sunsets,
fall colors, etc.) There is no option to choose a blank or white background.

Hi,

well, yes Express has the Option "Replace Background" that replaces the background with whatever you want. When you already have chosen white as Background Color and want to place a Photo on to you choose that from the left Panel under Text is the Point "Photos". That places a photo on a new Layer above the Background layer. Hope that helps.

Henrik
