Adobe express won't let me crop a video

In a way this should be simple for someone who knows Adobe express.

1) Recently a screen recorded a fitness video.

2) when I uploaded to Adobe express and tried to crop it I was unsuccessful.

3) I would only allow me to crop a portion of the video.  

4). I have attached pictures for you to understand.

Welcome to the community! Could you please let us know about a few things below-

1.  As per your screenshot, was there anything else instead of a white background, like an actual recording? 
2. What aspect ratio did you select?
3.  Do you want to remove the white background?
