I just started using adobe express to create thumbnails for youtube as I saw it was free to use as I have zero experience and after creating one thumbnail and having no problems I logged in the following day to finish another one UI had started and adobe has locked my thumbnail project claiming I used branded materialwhen I didn't and need to subscribe in order to retrieve it. Can't afford the monthly subscription now is there any way I can retieve my project?  I hate to lost hours of work, that I worked on this thing.

Hey @limalimon

Thanks for reaching out & apologies for the frustration. This isn't how Adobe Express is supposed to work.

Could you try some of these workarounds and let us know about the findings:

  • Try duplicating the project & then downloading the new copy.
  • Try sharing the project with someone and accessing it through the other account.
  • Try signing out of all devices & then back in to see if that makes any difference.

Also, If possible, could you share the screenshot of the project(elements/layers used) & the message that claims the project has branded material.

We are here to help; we just need some more information to investigate further.

Your patience is appreciated.

Regards,

Amitej

I have the same issue, for some projects I created a few months ago I can no longer access or edit them.

The message I get is 'This project has custom brand elements. To edit it, you'll need an Adobe Express subscription, so here's a 30-day trial for you to get to the finish line.'

The only content within these projects is my business logo which I own the rights to use, I have never used custom brand elements within Adobe Spark.

It seems like an additional paywall has been introduced since I started to use the software which is now preventing me from accessing content I have created.
