Convert to Gif is too small

New Here ,
Jun 14, 2022 Jun 14, 2022

Hi there,

I'm trying to convert a video to Gif and though I ask that it maintain the largest file size, my gif is ridiculously compressed and unusable once downloaded.

I've tried contacting support and they can't seem to figure it out...really hoping someone here can help. (I've attached how small it gets post conversion - it's literally unreadable)

Hi Joanna,

Thank you for reaching out. We will be happy to help. Would you mind checking these options (shown in the screenshot) while converting the video.

Please write back if you have chosen the same options and still have the same issue.

Thanks

Manmeet

I have the same issue, and I selected the options you show (which are the default by the way).

I'm having the same problem. With the largest file option checked and "original size" selected as instructed above, my resulting gif is 192px wide. The original mp4 is 1920 x 1080 px. Has there been any progress on a solution for this issue?

Same issue and I do not get the Original Size option in the dropdown as shown in the attachment.  Not sure if I am missing something and all Adobe products uptodate.  Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Joanna. I am having the same problem. I have the video at 600px x 580px and did what you suggested and clicked on largest size with original size option selected, but the gif was converted to 386px x 374px?

I created the project in Adobe Express and downloaded the animation as an MP4. (I wish there was an option to just immediately convert the animation to a Gif instead of only having a video as an option) Then, I used Adobe Express to convert the video to a Gif and selected Large and Original Size. But when it was converted, it looked very small. So I brought the Gif into Photoshop and it was half the original size. I am currently using a 3rd party software to convert my animations now since there doesn't seem to be a way around Adobe Express's error. Attached is a screenshot showing the discrepancy in size. It would be nice to figure out this Adobe Express error with the video to Gif conversion.

I have the same issue. This feature is useless!!! "Large" and original size (I have tried coverting4k video and 1080p) render a tiny blurry gif.

Don't have the original size as an option. Is adobe a joke now? Why do we pay so much to be ignored?

Im having the same issue, I started out with the video base of a casino. and added some text. DL'd the MP4 and its nice, even the link to the vid shows it to be a large size as you can see herehttps://new.express.adobe.com/published/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:300d8aed-e7dc-4bf2-a09e-a953f796f0f6

However, when i use the Gif converter it comes out as a 342x192  which is just way too small to use as needed. makes the text hard to read and doesn't have the impressive look as the larger one. Now there is no original size option just the large which I selected. I attached the outcome of the smaller Gif. I really need this to work.  I had another project I started from a template that rendered fine, I see others are having the same issue for quite some time but no answers.. Help!

Another useless feature from Adobe! . . . Lets hope they stop buying other companies out and destroying good software too!

Same thing here my video size created from an express file, is 1080 x 1080, i have orignal size selceted and its writing the gif at 274x274 72 dpi. why is it doing this, ive tried for an hour with every setting i could imagine. wouldnt original size mean the same dimensions as the video. im new to express and while this seems promising its missing a ton of features
