Duplicated file not editable on new express??

Explorer ,
Jul 26, 2024 Jul 26, 2024

On the old express mobile app I could create a project, duplicate it, and then use the duplicated as a template to make a "new" creation with the same elements. Now when I duplicate file it won't allow me to edit anything. It seems to be a static file. HELP PLEASE!!

Hey @JPHoops51, Thanks for posting here!!

Can you please specify the device make and model you're using? The duplicate functionality is present in the New Express app across Android and iOS devices. Can you tell us what file type you are duplicating, and when you say 'it seems to be a static file,' what does it mean? Does this happen with all the files you duplicate, or is it just a specific one? Are you able to edit the duplicated file from the express webapp?

Please share your observations for us to work on this issue!

Best,

Amitej

@Amitej S

I have duplicated a presentation file through the adobe express app on my Macbook Pro 2019 edition in Safari using macOS Sonoma 14.7.1

Once I duplicated the file, I simply wanted to re-name the file and edit it to keep the theme that I had created. However, when I clicked the file, it wouldn't open it at all. It came up with a dialogue box that asked if I wanted to add these pages to my current file as pages or images. There was no opening it as an actual separate file that is unique in it's own right and that has actually been renamed. Unsure why that happened.
