Forced Migration - not a fan. How do we use the old version?

I was hanging on to the old version of Adobe Express on my iphone hoping that I would not be forced to migrate to this awful mess but unfortunately now every time I try to work in it I get kicked out. So I have no choice but to migrate to the user-unfriendly version, which I absolutely detest.

After browing the community here, I'm obviously not alone in my annoyance and no I can't post screenshots because literally everthing about this thing sucks.

What I want to know is, how can I get the previous, simplified version back? Is it possible? If not, then I will not be renewing my subscription. And I know I'm not alone there...

In fact if it's not possible, then I would think Adobe Express should be issuing refunds to their customers. My subscription automatically renewed in December 2024, however, if I had known I would be paying for this train wreck I would not have renewed. This is a totally different app!

Hi @Lisa_Bee_iz_me

Sorry to hear you are not enjoying the new version of Express. We recognize that the new interface can seem overhelming, and there are many areas of improvement, but we hope you decide to stick with it; we'll be here to help.

To answer your question, there isn't a way to revert to the previous version after the switch is made.

Hi @daniel_0787,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling frustrated with the recent changes. I understand how important efficiency is, especially when it impacts your business.

Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer a way to revert to the old version of the app. However, we’re committed to making the experience better and would love to hear what specific features or workflow improvements you need to make the transition smoother.

If there’s something specific you’re missing from the old version, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to assist you in adjusting to the new version or finding a workaround.

Your feedback is important, and we’re here to support you as best as we can!

It seems like this is about using your customers to train your ai. You wouldn't give me the ai on acrobat, where i needed it, without up upcharging, even though i had the everything plan. Which insulted me greatly as a customer.

Now you are forcing your ai into how i produce images, which is not useful for me. But it is useful for you Adobe, isn't it? Get all your customers working for you, great for Adobe.

Seems like you should be paying your customers instead of them paying you.

Okay...but what if I haven't made the "switch" on one of my devices yet? After seeing what a debacle it was after migrating on my ipad, I've been trying to use the previous version on my iphone but it keeps crashing, making it useless anyway.

Are there specific steps that lead to the crash in the previous version, or does it happen randomly?

If you have able to grab a screen recording, that may help.

Also sharing  https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-express-discussions/adobe-express-mobile-important-updates-amp-device-requirement-changes/td-p/15181151 since it's relevant (though I don't see exact timelines mentioned in that post)

Thanks
