How to capture text group in one file and copy to another file?

Hi...

I am a complete newbie to Express, and though I've noodled around with other Adobe apps, I'm really really inexperienced.

I AI-generated a piece that ended up giving me the name and subtitle for my brand. I want to use the text group in multiple ways...first, for a Facebook Page cover image. I can't figure out how to do that.

My logic told me to copy the grouped text, then move over to the cover image file I'd created, and paste it in there. No dice. Then I thought okay, maybe I need to save the copy as a text element, but I have no idea how to do that.

Can you guys tell me how I can capture this "brand type" to use as an element for mulitple channels?

TIA

Hey @TrishLambert
I hope I understand correctly what you want to do.
If you have PS or Ai (Illustrator), you can create that text document on a transparent background. since I am more familiar w PS, this is what I suggest.
1) Create the text element.

2) Save it as a PNG shift+cntr+opt+S (on a Mac). This will take you to save screen.
3) Top right you have a drop down menu: preset.
4) Drop down to PNG 8 or PNG 24.

Now you have a saved file. Bring that save text file in Express and work w the text as you require.

Cheers,
O. Nate
