I can't open my Adobe Express Project because of Adobe Stock Images

I made an Adobe Express project a week or 2 ago and even downloaded a few drafts. However, I needed to update the image and Adobe Express shows this pop-up:

Screenshot 2023-03-10 at 11-44-14 Adobe Express.png

This is very aggravating because I NEVER inserted any Adobe Stock image, heck how would I even gain access if I never had access in the first place? All I know is that I was able to select a template that already had images there that I didn't even need (why would it even allow me to click it if it had Adobe stock images? Something should've prevented that from happening or at least remove the image from the template). Adobe Express on the web glitched out and became unresponsive and so I tried opening my project again and boom, I don't have access. I have an Adobe account through my University that provided us with an Educational license/access to the Creative Cloud and Adobe programs.

How would I know an image on there was from the Adobe Stock images? I simply liked the pairing of text and composition used and now I can't access anything there (I made 3 designs in the project). I really need access to this project, how can I pass this prevention?

Hi @Ty Pal and @Megan28819772r9fo,

Thank you for reaching out, and apologies for the delayed response.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulties accessing your project.

I just came across your thread and wondered if this is still an issue.

I'm here to help and looking forward to hearing from you.

Lyn 🙂

I still don't have access to the project to this day. And my educational license now allows me to use Adobe Stock images. I thought this would make a difference but it doesn't.

Hi @Ty Pal,

Thank you for your response.

Can you please confirm if you created those projects with your university email address?

If you're having trouble opening your project due to Adobe Stock images, there could be a few possible issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check your internet connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection to access Adobe Stock and download the necessary images for your project.

  • Sign in to your Adobe account: Make sure you are signed in to your Adobe account associated with your Adobe Stock subscription or the Creative Cloud membership that includes Adobe Stock access.

  • License the images: If you have downloaded Adobe Stock images but are unable to open your project, it's possible that the images have not been properly licensed. In Adobe Express or any other Adobe application, you generally need to license the images you use from Adobe Stock to have the legal right to incorporate them into your projects.

Open the Adobe Stock website or use the integrated Adobe Stock panel within your Adobe application to license the images. Once licensed, the watermarked versions of the images in your project should be replaced with the licensed versions.

  • Update your software: Ensure that you have the latest updates for both the Adobe Express application (if such an application exists) and Adobe Stock. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve compatibility issues.
