I want to put a transparent text over a background, then remove the background so it's only seen in the text. Can I do that?

Here's a way I found that you can make your text transparent to let the background show:

  1. In a new document, add your text (it works better with less text that's bolder)
  2. Download the text as an image
  3. Create a new document or page or delete the current text
  4. Go to Photos to upload the image of your text
  5. Click Remove Background
  6. In Edit Cutout under Customize (which appears after removing the background), select Invert cutout & click the check
  7. Add a Background image
