Typekit integration on Adobe Express (Brand)

New Here ,
Jul 14, 2022 Jul 14, 2022

The branding function on Adobe Express is really cool - although it would be nice to be able to add more than one colour and font.

Is there a way to add Typekit fonts to the Brand? There is the "upload" option, but as you're not allowed to download fonts from the Typekit space, how do you add them to your Brand on Express?

Hi there,

As of now, in addition to the available Adobe fonts, Adobe Express allows you to upload fonts of your choice in .OTF and.TTF format under the brand section.

Yes, you are correct that adding Typekit fonts via the upload option is not possible because extracting the font files from obscured locations violates our end user licence agreement.

However, you can use the Typekit font inside any project by searching for its name in the font section. (please refer to the screenshot)

With regards to expanding the brand function's use of font and colour sounds like a great feature to have; you may consider posting your suggestion here so it could get more eyes.

As this release is just the beginning, we welcome your feedback to build this new app together!

Regards,

Amitej

I am trying to make sense of this so you are saying not to use adobe to create your brand then you can use the branding feature properly with the correct fonts in adobe express?

Yes, you can use available Adobe Fonts under the brand section, and if that doesn't fulfil your requirements, you can upload any third-party font to use for brands.

Yes you can upload a third party font and save it to your Brand, but if your brand uses an Adobe font you can't save it.

Except of course if your brand uses one of the default fonts that are provided but not any other Adobe font.

Hi @Amitej S please clarify on this point. I would like to use the font Roc Grotesk and Express currently does not support me using that as a brand font, thereby increasing my total workflow time by 20-30 minutes per set. Is there any reason this or a work around for using this font?

Hi @JackSloop, The fonts available in the brands' category were hand-picked as the best and most practical fonts for creating Brands. However, we are now working to enable users to choose Brand typefaces from Adobe Font.

@Amitej S Thank you for letting us know that it is in the pipeline and in development. If there is anything I can do to help with the process as a tester please let me know.
