EXPANDING AN IMAGE

The expand looks good at first glance but when I checked a vintage art remix I was working on, the new area was poor quality with pixelation and the distinctive crackling of the paint, or texture was not in the expanded area. I would normally use the clone tool to get this right. Hoping I will be able to use this feature in the future as it would be a great time saver.

Hello @carmenp1 ,

I am not sure how large your expanded area was; generations are limited to 2000x2000 pixels. If your area is larger than that, it is scaled up and can lead to the effect you are mentioning. Try expanding to a smaller area and see if the quality is improved.

Thanks. Will try your suggestion. I expanded it a small area, less than
2000px, then expanded a little again.
