negative prompts do not work, unnecessary shadows ruin images

Hello,

I am trying to generate geometric patterns for tiles in Firefly

- asking for simple lines do not work, instead I get filled-in illustrations, when I just want geometric line patterns

- using negative prompts to remove unwanted aspects does not work

- shadows are being added for no reason, negative prompts to remove shadows just add more shadows

- giving it an image as inspiration just leads it to copy-paste the image, losing all original design...

What is the best way for me to obtain simple line patterns, whether in color or not ?

Hi @pierre_7112,

There used to be negative prompting which is why you might see it still listed in older posts here or in help files. If you see it in a help file, please post that here so Adobe can correct that file.

The good news is, based on the demos I saw on the Adobe MAX keynote, it looks like negative prompting is returning with model 4. Things could still change before model 4 is released, but hopefully it remains.

As for shadows, I would remove them either in Firefly Generative Fill or by taking the image into Photoshop and editing it there.

so

- if Firefly adds elements never requested, like shadows, what should I do to remove them ?

-when are negative / corrective prompts coming to Firefly ?
- there's Firefly guides online mentioning to use negative prompts, or prompts like "remove .....", are those guides wrong ?

- how do I do simple, repeating, tile patterns in Firefly ?

@pierre_7112 you are correct - negative prompts are currently not supported in Firefly. By giving a negative statement the opposite will occur.
