P: No favorites showing up

I have saved several images as my favorites, but my "Favorites" page is blank when I click on the link.

Images cannot be saved (as of the time I'm writing this) and the favorited images are not save to the favorite list (it's empty).

It's very frustrating as it's way too easy to lose a good version of the prompt.

There are several limitations for this release:

• This will be saved to the local browser and is not connected to an individual's CC Library yet.
• Favorites will not persist when switching to a different browser or using an incognito browser
• Only works for Text to Image and Text Effect modules
• Favoriting images using 'Use as reference image' and 'Show similar' generated images is not optimized yet
• If logged out, once signing back in, you will need to refresh the Favorites page to see your favorites
• If you are low on available disk space, your favorites may be deleted by the browser.

To help our team investigate, please provide OS and browser versions. Also please to go into their browser console and look in the Console tab. Copy/paste what's in there and send it over. We're mostly looking for anything that's in red in the console. To access the console:

• Win Chrome: More Tools > Developer Tools.
• Mac Chrome: View > Developer > JavaScript Console.
• Win Firefox: hamburger menu > More Tools > Web Developer Tools.
• Mac Firefox: Tools > Browser Tools > Browser Console.
• Mac Safari: Settings > Advanced > Show Develop Menu

I also experience this on MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 (a) on Chrome 112.0.5615.137 (Official Build) (arm64). No favorites are showing in my list.

Please try logging out and rebooting. Also, please make sure you have adequate hard disk space.

I have rebooted and logged out and signed in again. Have enough HD space. I then used the Safari browser and tested it by favoriting one image. On this browser only 1 image showed up on the favorites page: the one I had just favorited, but none of the others:(.

2. Using Chrome web browser Version 113.0.5672.93 (Official Build) (64-bit) (on Windows)

3. I favorited some of my generated images, but they don't show up in my favorites.

4. I expect that if I click the heart icon on a generated image, that it will show up in the 'Favorites' tab. If not, what is the point of the heart icon?

1. Currently, there doesn't seem to be any way to keep images generated in Firefly aside from downloading them. I thought that might be what the heart icon was for, but my 'Favorites' tab is empty, so that doesn't seem to be its purpose. Every other AI image generator I've used allows users to keep their generated images in the cloud.

2. I'm surprised this isn't an option, since Adobe has so many cloud integrations for other apps. If there's not a way to keep generated images in the cloud (without downloading then uploading them), that should be clearly stated in the onboarding screens. Not having images accessible from the cloud slows down my workflow considerably, and removes a major benefit of using Firefly over competing image generation apps.

@FynnM, the heart icon is working for me to “save to favorites” by clicking on the heart at the top left. What browser are you using? Can you try switching or trying with a new session? Let us know if it's still not saving for you.

Hi @FynnM, no, there is no other version of Firefly except for what is released to the approved Beta users at https://firefly.adobe.com. Regarding favorites, it is working. Additional info is on the Discord channel for Firefly Beta 1.3 release:

I put some images I generated in the favorites. At the next login they were no longer present, why ? Is it a bug or is it like that by default ?

On Monday I finally was approved for Adobe Firefly (Beta) and I was blown away by what can be done. I saved quite a few designs to my Favorites and downloaded them. Tuesday morning when I logged in, all my Favorites were gone. I created more on Tuesday and downloaded them. This morning (Wednesday) all my Favorites I created were gone again. It just said "You don't have any favorite images yet".  I am on Mac OS Monterey, I just wanted it to be known that I am having these issues.

Hi @adding ppd to printers, here are the latest release notes on Favorites. Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues after trying these steps.

Favorites page to save Heart your favorite images. There are several limitations for this release:

• Only works for Text to Image and Text Effect modules.
• Using “Use as reference image” or “Show similar” on a favorited image is not optimized yet.
• If logged out, once signing back in, you will need to refresh the Favorites page to see your favorites.
• In order to see the updates, you might need to do a hard refresh of the Beta experience (Ctrl(Cmd) + Shift + R).

I was advised by someone to do a hard refresh of firefly and log in/log out, so I did that along with flushing the browser history and cache on Chrome. 

When I logged back into Firefly, all my favorte images have disappeared. 

Is there a way that you can check your servers and recover my favorited images please?

Hello, same just happened to me, I entered just now to adobe firefly and it seems that all my work has been wiped from the favorite images, what is going on with it?

Any updates? No one from Adobe can respond or let us know what is going on with it? Hours and days spent on creating images and over 40 of them just wiped.

Can you do the following things to help us identify the source of the problem:
- let us know what brower and OS you are using.
- make sure you are not using incognito mode
- Look within your developer console in the browser for errors when accessing favorites page or adding favorite

Browser: Microsoft EdgeVersion 114.0.1823.37 (Official build) (64-bit)

OS: Windows 10 Pro

Developer: No unusual errors or anything.

Tried to logout and login again, clean cache also.

Since then I created a new image it's working when refreshing and all, but checked with different browser (Chrome) and the image does not appear in there... looks like the browser is saving the data or something? and it's not on an online storage or something... which is kinda weird, it means if someone will clean cache or install a new browser, everything will be deleted.

I'd a bunch of images 30-40 before the wipe, full of images I've made, suddenly all was gone.

Now only 1 image appearing which I've made today (only in Edge, in Chrome it's not there).

@Ziv85  Favorites will be saved to the local browser. They will not persist when switching to a different browser or machine, using an incognito browser, or if you clear your cache

Thank you @Tracy.H . My issue was resolved. I had favorites in different browsers. I expected the images to save in the cloud across browsers, so hopefully this gets some votes when the team can get to it. It'd be nice to keep favorites there, including the prompts. Great job to everyone so far and can't wait to see what this will become.

Yes, I see it now, I just made a little check to cover all the options.

Anyway, in the original browser the data got wiped anyway not sure why, the cache cleaning was after it stopped showing any images... I'll try to create new ones and see if it get deleted.

Very weird tho, shouldn't happen like this.

Hi, just lost all my preferred! Windows 10, Chrome updated. I purged the browser cache an d cleaned the history and once logged in again to Firefly, all the preferred were lost.

So the preferred immages are somewhat connected with the browser cache? 

No advise about it?
