Best Adobe Plan for Using Firefly API & Photoshop API

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

I am looking for the best subscription plan for my company because I need access to both the Photoshop API and Firefly API for a very specific task. I do not need access to the full Creative Cloud suite, so I want to make sure I choose the right plan without paying for unnecessary tools.

What I need to do:

:keycap_1: Use the Photoshop API to detect and isolate the main object in an image (e.g., a sofa) using Select Subject or Remove Background.
:keycap_2: Use the Firefly API to generate a new background based on a custom prompt while keeping the main object unchanged.

What I already know:

  • Firefly Services is not available as a bundled product including multiple APIs (Firefly, Photoshop, Lightroom, Content Tagging).
  • Firefly API must be purchased separately (it became an independent product on February 12, 2025).
  • Each tool has its own API, but access might be limited (not fully unlimited).
  • I need to confirm which specific plan includes both APIs and any usage restrictions (e.g., credit-based, per-call pricing, or unlimited access).

What I need to clarify now:

  • What exact plan should I subscribe to in order to have access to both APIs?
  • What are the usage limits for each API (Photoshop and Firefly)?
  • Is the API usage credit-based, per request, or is there an unlimited option?
  • Is it possible to perform my task only using Photoshop API? I've read that Firefly is supposly integrated in Photoshop, but I am not sure if it provides the same level of generative AI capabilities as the standalone Firefly API.

I would appreciate clear guidance on the best subscription option for my needs.

Thank you all of you!

Hello @jose_luis_5461,

I am not an expert in all the plans, but i can tell you that the Firefly API is only available on an enterprise plan. If you need the Firefly API, you will need to talk to Adobe sales about how to bundle the services you need into an enterprise plan.

My best,
