Copyright issues when using Firefly generated imagery

As a quiltmaker, I want to create a quilt based on Firefly generated imagery. After making it who owns copyright? Happy to incorporate the Firefly statement at the bottom but will modify the design and add my own quilting and embellishments to it.

AI-generated art may not be protected by copyright in some countries, such as the US and Australia, unless there is a human author who contributed to the creative expression of the work. In that case, it may belong to the public domain, and anyone can use it for commercial purposes.

That sort of answers my question but I am having great fun using it and it is giving me lots of ideas which I would love to convert into actual items.
