Generative Fill CREDITs

Explorer ,
Sep 25, 2025 Sep 25, 2025

I have NO idea how to talk to someone here, but I have a complaint.

Why don't the CREDITS I PURCHASE for Generative Fill Ai and (Firefly) carry over?

If you pay $9.99 for 2,000 credits, you should be able to use ALL of those credits, and pay again when you run out.  It is simply not fair, to pay for something and then have them taken away, simply because you do not use them.   I hope that Adobe reconsiders this, and allows the credits to just remain until you run out, and then if you want to, purchase more.  But, to have them EXPIRE, when you paid for them, is unfair, and not good policy in my belief.

Please Adobe, fix this!!!

Hey @byronw41971227

This has been in place since credits have been introduced. Yes, it would be a great feature to have them carry over. Many of people have requested this: including myself.

So, I do my best to use up my credits before they reset.
Benefits
1) Push my creativity

2) Find ways to use them up before the end of the 'month': test new rendering models, create vids and other features.
3) Collaborate with others to do something fun.

Cheers

Nate

When you pay for something, you should GET what you pay for.   It should NOT be taken from you if you do not use it in a specific period of time.   If the COST is $9.99 for 2000 credits, then I should be able to use those 2000 credits.

What this honestly does, is gives me a bad taste in my mouth for Adobe, and honestly makes me rethink my subscription.   That is not any type of threat, it is just reality to me.   I had no clue, that my credits would expire when I bought then, if I did not use them within 30 days.  I guess I missed that when I bought them, and when  found out, it just did not make sense to me.

Anyway, my hope is that Adobe changes this policy, and just lets the Subscriber use all of their purchased credits, and then when they run out, purchase more.   But, I will not allow any automatic renewal each month, I just won't.  I plan on canceling my auto-renewal when it comes to the next month.   My money, my rules.   Adobe has every right to stay with their plan if they want, but I am just sharing my own personal opinion, and HOPING that they agree, and change.  That is up to Adobe, as I have no control over that.    I hope others agree.   Thanks for the reply though.   Have a great day.

@byronw41971227 to be fair, you did agree to the terms when subscribing to the credits package which were clear in how credits are consumed and do not carry over month-to-month.

Credits (used by many AI paid models) are a means to throttle/control bandwidth on the servers and prevent overloads/DDOS attacks from bad actors.

I do NOT dispute that I agreed to the Terms and Conditions.   I simply did not see the Credits Expire, nor do I understand why they do.   That makes no sense to me.   And, my comment and complaint was designed to see if Adobe would indeed consider changing this policy.   If they do not, then it is my choice of course to either use them in the future, or not.   And, it is my choice whether to continue to subscribe to my Annual Plan or not.   That is my ONE and only comment.   I hope Adobe reconsiders their policy, and if they do not, then I have to make some decisions, that is all I am saying.  Thanks for your Reply.

I believe the reason is that the consumption of credits is the consumption of a limited resource. For example, if no one used their credits one month and the everyone used two months worth of credits the next month, there would be insufficient capacity to deliver.

This is different from Adobe stock credits which can carry over because my use of Adobe Stock credits does not consume a limited resource. The images are there for download whether I pace my downloads or do them at once (the actual cost of downloading being very small).
