Hi everyone!
I'm new to Adobe Firefly and really excited to start creating. I’d love some tips or resources on how to begin, especially for basic text-to-image creation. Any advice or tutorials for beginners would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey @jorja_0102

A few helpful tips:
1) put the important information at the front of the prompt.
2) keep the prompt relatively simple 1 sentence. Use commas to break each component seperately. I find leave the background till the end.
3) "Ask for what you want". Negative prompts do not work.

Use Reference images to give you a similar outcome or appearance
Use style reference for a certain style: colour, graphic, or something.

High resolution images...
- Provide images that are clean

No hidden features so to speak. There are a lot of "Effects"
Use the different "Effects"
I find 1 -2 Effects (great results) 3 to 4 Effects give (good results) 5+... so so
The 1st Effects are given priority.

Cheers

Hello @jorja_0102,

Welcome to the Firefly community!

There is a lot of beginner content in the Adobe help content. This is a good starting place: Adobe Firefly Learn & Support

I also recommend the Adobe Firefly Discord site. You can access it from this link on the Firefly home page:

In the Adobe Firefly Discord site you can get live help with challenges you have and talk with other Firfefly users. Also, Monday through Thursday at 11:00 am Eastern Time (GMT-0400/-0500) there is a live learning session led by Shawn Kosel and Jack Watson. These live, interactives sessions are a great way to ask questions and learn. These sessions are what taught me the basics of Firefly.

And you can always post questions here, as well.

Best of luck!

My best,
    droopy

Hi everyone,
I'm new to Adobe Firefly and really excited to explore what it can do. I’ve tried generating a few images, but I’d love to learn tips or best practices from experienced users here.

  • What prompts give the most accurate or creative results?

  • Are there any hidden features or updates that can help enhance output?

  • How do you manage resolution or styling in your images?

Looking forward to your insights and thanks in advance!

This is a very useful guide for crafting effective prompts!
✅ Prioritizing important info at the start makes a big difference.
✅ Keeping it to one clear sentence with commas helps AI interpret things better.
✅ Positive, direct requests definitely work better than negatives.
✅ Using reference images and styles really helps lock in the desired result.
✅ And yes—clean, high-resolution inputs make a huge impact.
The insight about using 1–2 Effects for best results is also valuable—more isn’t always better. Thanks for sharing such a practical and experience-based breakdown!
