P: Firefly Premium Features require a separate Firefly or Creative Cloud Pro subscription

Hi, I have an Adobe photography subscription, which includes Firefly, I have 247 credits left, but if I try to generate a video from a text it asks me to subscribe. Why?

I had to search and search to get here. Why doesn't Firefly tell people that the 'free' credits can only be used for certain things like generative image and not Video??? It should tell you on the page that pops up to buy a subscription. And why can't we use the monthly credits for video anyway? Super disappointed in recent programs too, come on Adobe.

Adobe have changed the way generative credits work, paricularly in relation to video. See teh FAQ page below:

Is this feature not included in Creative Cloud? I've tried it on a test basis, but now Adobe says I've run out of free tests and wants to charge me more on top of my CC subscription.

Firefly Video is not included in the CC subscription. With the new Firefly tools that have become available, Adobe has changed their plans and the use of generative credits. The generative credits allocated in a CC only plan users can't be used for video.

See my message above. The generative credits that come with the CC plan can't be used for Firefly video. There are other plans that cater for that functionality.

why doesn't video generation work? I have 990 credits but I can't generate videos, after trying 2-3 times I'm offered to buy a subscription although I already have one. What should i do, i just get subscription but can't use Firefly video generate ☹️

You posted to the Enterprise & Teams forum. Please ask your administrator, as they can lock you out. 

If you are an individual subscriber, let us know so we can move your post. Which Adobe app are you using to generate videos? And what did you subscribe to?

Hi @nijat_3339,

If you were an enterprise user, you would have received the message "you are not authorised to use this feature." So, I think you are using an individual plan, and I moved your message to the Firefly forum on this thread.

On individual creative cloud plans, Firefly credits cannot be used for Firefly premium services, such as video generation. You need a separate Firefly plan to use the Firefly premium services.  My pinned message on this thread explains this in more detail.

An Adobe CC plan has credits for Firefly Text to Image but does not give credits for use with Firefly video tools. See:

If you have fex. an CC all apps plan you get 1000 credits. These credits can only be used for features such as text to image,and generative fill.

To spend credits on text to video, image to video, or audio features, you'll need a Firefly subscription in adition.

Creative cloud plans include standard Firefly services such as text to image and text to vector. They do not include premium Firefly services such as text to video and audio/video translation.

Are you trying to create images or video or both? With the CC plan, you should be able to use Firefly for images but will need another plan to generate video.

Are you trying to use your credits for video? I'm guessing you have a CC plan. That plan gives credits for creating images not for the video tools.
