I'd like to generate images suitable for the average person in the UK. Our everyday scenes are completely different to the USA: our streets are different; we don't have many snow capped mountains; our hills are green and lush; our furnishings are different; our pubs are unique..... I won't go on!! Is there a key keyword I should be using?
And what’s the French Eiffel Tower doing in a British image?!
I am beginning to think this won’t work for UK images….

It does try to tailor results based on where it thinks you are. It is odd that you are in the UK and seemingly it think you are in the United States. Is it possible you are connected to a corporate network or VPN that is in the United States?
You can try to add "United Kingdom" or other local regions in your prompts. Specifying a location overrides the default location determination by Firefly.

I'm afraid these suggestions aren't part of the problem:
My IP is domestic and definitely English;
I have used "UK" in my prompts but the images still look like I am based in the Blue Ridge Mountains and have a brother called John Boy!

Can you please include a link to one of these?

Here you go. The prompt was "A watercolour of a row of English terraced houses on a roadside." This looks like we still live in Shakespearean times!

Is this any better?
A watercolour of a row of victorian terraced houses on a roadside. (english british london )
If not, can you refer me to a photo of the type of houses you are talking about?

In this particular instance of trying to accurately portray a British terraced house, few things jump out at me. Much of suburban Britain (especially up North) has much smaller terraces, they don't have attic dormers, nor steps down to the pavement. Often there are no trees. Example of a typical street of terraces attached. Obviously houses are just one aspect of the rendition of the UK vs USA but used as a clear example of my problems. I would happily add to a render but am struggling to remove!

If you use the "Watercolor" effect from the effects panel and remove it from the prompt you'll get a much better more British result!
Then you can start adding in more details , adding in the river and a quintiessentially british background, I'll leave the weather as optional the less British the better there!! Here are a couple of examples...

Agree on watercolour change... Getting closer... Also added exclude words.

Thanks for the advice. Clearly I need to learn the right language for Firefly prompts!

How does this look to you @Chris Maddrell?
I travelled the British Isles quite a bit before moving to CA, and this looks alright to me. The vibe is certainly there.
From bottom to first:
water colour painting of modern British City street
water colour painting of Manchester City Centre cars travelling on road
water colour painting of Scottish Highlands vollage with one lane and hills in the background, cars travelling on road
water colour painting of British village street with one lane and hills in the background
water colour painting of British Scottish street with terraced houses
water colour painting of British London street with terraced houses
water colour painting of British street with terraced houses
"Digital Artwork (XL) AI model" was selected, and the first five are the first results. The city centre ones took a few more tries to get a good looking one.
Obviously not done in Firefly of course, but in open source & free Krita and its AI plugin. Runs locally on my machine without the need for external internet servers (after the initial download of the installation).
PS I tested Krita with its AI plugin on a Studio M2 Mac, and it actually works! Much slower to render than on my Nvidia 3080, though. Images like the ones above render in 10 seconds, or so, on my machine.

That's really good @rayek.elfin . As a novice I'll try to understand what you've said! I've never used anything but Firefly so am now truly out of my depth!!

Some of the prompts from rayek will produce results in Firefly, also:
British village street with one lane and hills in the background
Scottish Highlands vollage with one lane and hills in the background, cars travelling on road

I could do wide; I had just been doing square because that was what the original poster did.

I know I'm still learning but I don't understand why Firefly would create an image that's so illogical. I seem to be spending a lot of time removing unusual elements. This one's scary

Haha, yep its still learning! Just add "eiffel Tower" to the exclusions and your good! The more specific you are the better the output is, i.e. describe the scene, see below prompts

My list of exclusions is now 10x longer than my original prompt!
I do accept that Firefly is learning but it's not learning about this side of the Atlantic fast enough for me!!

I'm really disappointed to find @rayek.elfin post about Krita and how to implement its AI tool is now missing.
