Textures on text leaves stuff around edges

one of the issues I have is that some prompts leave stuff around the edges of the letters - they aren't well defined enough to put a solid background behind and have them be decorative, but they're there and have to be cleaned up in Photoshop.

i tried all three text effect fits - even on the tightest one there's still
stuff not on the letter. Which would be cool if the stuff was actually
rendering dark enough to be decorative.
