Hi @Richard SolisV, the point of the watermark is because Adobe Firefly is for non-commercial use only while in Beta.

Removing a watermark from any image is considered a breach of copyright and/or license terms. According to the US Copyright Act, section 1202, removing a watermark without the owner’s permission is illegal. Hope that's helpful.

Hello,

as of right now Firefly is in the beta Phase. After the beta is over, there will be no watermark. For more informations please have also a look at https://firefly.adobe.com/faq
Hope that helps.

Thank you for the feedback. That watermark is only for images created in the beta. We’ll share more information on this after Firefly is out of the beta phase

The watermarks are so large that there is no reason to use Firefly. The beta period has been ongoing for half a year. Please remove the watermarks. --

Adobe will be adding the watermarks while Firefly is in the public beta and is being used for testing purposes. When it is in the released version, we are told that the watermark will no longer be applied.

Q

Estaria bien que la marca de agua se ajuste a el tamaño de la imagen ya que si es de pocos pixeles usa mas de la mitad de la imagen la marca de agua.

Please get rid of the watermark. The only entity that this serves is Adobe, and even barely there.

The reason is because, it isn't Adobe creating the text prompts. It's the user. Also... These images are being created at the pixel level. Therefore, this argument that you are protecting the rights of the creators in Adobe Stock is a bit unfounded.

As an example... Are you going to argue over an image containing parts of a cat head from one place a unicorn horn from another, and fairy wings from another? This makes no logical sense, and the creative pipeline from which the Firefly images are generated is not clear.

As well.... It's doubly incomprehensible, when one can just go into Photoshop, seleet said watermark, delete it, and then just get it filled in with the same technology that created the image, to begin with.

I wouldn't advocate for outright ripping off these images whole cloth. When there is a human involved, creating work that uses pieces and parts from many different parts of a Firefly generated image, than the law is absolutely in favor of the artist.

Is any of this EVER going to ACTUALLY go to court?

HIGHLY unlikely!

It's way too expensive and way too time consuming, for everyone involved.
Here is a part of a legal video, from Wired, diving further into this concept:

Thank you kindly.

Hi,

as long as Adobe Firefly is in beta the Watermark is on there. As soon as its out of beta we all can assume that this watermark will be gone. So with a little patience it will be all fine. Hope it helps.

regards,
Henrik

@Henrik Heigl

Yes sir. That's all well and good.

However, beta or no beta. it is in no way reflective of the legal, right, proper and ethical use of the works that are generated by Firefly, just as I have suggested in my explanation.

What part of this aren't people understanding, as there have been many.
