Hi everyone, I'm using Ventura 13.1 and some fonts I installed in Adobe fonts (they're "activated" and show up in other programmes e.g. InDesign) are not shown in Keynote. Ideas anyone? Thanks!

Have you installed the fonts for all apps to use? When adding fonts at the Adobe Fonts website the fonts are merely added for Adobe applications. That is the new default behavior. In order to make the fonts visible to all applications on a computer the fonts have to be installed by using the Creative Cloud desktop app.

I was a bit confused by the changes when Adobe put them into effect a couple or so months ago. They did add a pop up notice more recently that lets you open the Creative Cloud app when adding fonts at the Adobe Fonts web site.

Hiii, I am struggling with this same issue — in Adobe CC it shows my fonts / font families as "installed" and they work with figma, and obviously with cc apps. But, I can't seem to get to be available in Keynote or locally on my hard drive, any other suggestions?

Typefaces that are synced (or "added" and "installed") via the Adobe Fonts service are not going to leave font files that are visible on the local hard disc. The font files are hidden from apps like Finder in MacOSX or Windows File Explorer. Likewise, the font files cannot be uploaded for use in other cloud-based apps or services. For example, Adobe Fonts won't work in Canva.

When the fonts are installed they should be visible to all apps installed on the computer's hard drive. If the fonts aren't visible in Keynote in a Mac desktop or notebook computer it could be due to the app being available on iOS devices, such as an iPhone or iPad. Maybe Apple only wants system fonts common to those devices visible in the app? Then again, I can install fonts synced via Adobe Fonts on an iPad by opening the Creative Cloud app and going into its Fonts section.

Thank you for this, but not sure I'm following... I think I'm most confused about how to get the fonts installed in the way you are mentioning in the 2nd paragraph. I do have them "installed" in CC — but to your point, they aren't actually installed on my hard drive. Could you elaborate on these comments:

"App being available on iOS devices, such as an iPhone or iPad. Maybe Apple only wants system fonts common to those devices visible in the app? Then again, I can install fonts synced via Adobe Fonts on an iPad by opening the Creative Cloud app and going into its Fonts section."

I'm not sure what else I can say to describe the process. When an added type family from Adobe Fonts is "installed" the Creative Cloud app does things under the surface of the operating system to make those fonts available to the applications installed in the computer. The CC app does this trick without placing any font files visible in any folders on the computer, that way people can't illegally copy, upload and/or share the font files.

I'm also having the same issue and I think I installed them correctly becasue they say they're installed "In Adobe apps and other local apps" but still can't see them in Keynote.

In Keynote, go to Format > Font > Show Fonts, or 'Command-T'. Then select 'All Fonts' in the left sidebar. You will probably find the missing fonts there.
