Alfarn not loading in Adobe Animate .fla file

Animate isn't recognizing the web font Alfarn whenever I close, then reopen, the document from my desktop. See screenshot of with "Font Mapping" at the top of it. When I go back to this link https://fonts.adobe.com/typekit and type in Alfarn to see if it has been activated, it isn't even an option. I originally accessed Alfarn via the character palette by clicking on the little globe icon then choosing "Adobe Fonts". See screenshot with "Add Adobe Fonts" at the top of it. That screen shot was actually taken from the re-opened .fla document that gave me the "missing fonts" message, so that doesn't make sense. Any ideas?

I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. I believe I know what's going on here. In order to use web fonts from Adobe Fonts, you need to be using an HTML5 Canvas in Animate. However, if you use a Flash canvas, you'll have to use system fonts. For this, I would activate the fonts on fonts.adobe.com instead of using the web fonts.

Thank you so much for your reply. I actually am using an HTML5 canvas in

Animate, and when I go to fonts.adobe.com and start to type in Alfarn, it

isn¹t an option. See enclosed screen shot of the latter. Thoughts?

Hey Andrea,

Alfarn is still available on Adobe Fonts–it's one of the "Hidden Treasures of the Bauhaus Dessau at https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/hidden-treasures.  We'll ask the team to check why it's not coming up in a site search, though. (The screenshot you mentioned didn't come through, but you should at least get a match on the Bauhaus Dessau page.)

for the tip on the Hidden TreasuresŠthat selection does come up. The screen

shot basically just showed it not coming up as an option.
