Fonts takes too long time to get installed

Hi!! Adobe fonts are taking too long time to be installed! I guess this is an old issue, I used to have this same problem when this service was called as "Type Kit". I can see the problem continues, unfortunelly. My internet connection is Ok.

A solution that I found that works for me was to turn off/on Adobe Fonts and restart InDesign. Found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/troubleshoot-adding-fonts.html#:~:text=5.%20Toggle%20the%20Adobe%20Fonts%20setting

I’ve always had adobe fonts open in my browser and it still gets hung up while fonts are loading in the background tasks.

 

I’ve found that if I quit InDesign and open it back up it clears the font loading activity and the file will open with no font issues.

Here we are in 2024 and it is still slow. Adobe you say you are working on it, but its going on 3 years based on Molly Doane's response. I am using illustrator CC on a macbook pro. My internet connection is great, wish I could say the same about the rest.
