Left edge of the frame of the video image appears on the right side

Community Beginner ,

When I export a premiere file to adobe media encoder, I always have a part of the left image at the right edge of the image. I can not see the mistake before in premiere. When I just try to export within premiere the audio export rendering stays minutes long at 0%, Therefore I switched then to media encoder. How can I solve this?Screenshot 2023-06-25 000116.png

Thank you for all the answers! It was unfortunatley a simple update problem in my case. I installed the newest version and the error was not there anymore!

@Kevin-Monahan

I have seen this exact same issue in AME beta a couple of months ago. Build 23.5.9.

AME team could not reproduce, but I wonder is its related.

We need a piece of media and a project that causes this. Also, we need to know exactly what settings you are choosing in AME.

@jstrawn

It's showing up in other threads as well.

This user is having it happen with an After Effects Comp that does not use any source footage:

Strange cropped/repeated edge when exported in media encoder

Here is another thread:

My Video Cut Off and Shown on Left Side

The issue is also showing up in Facebook groups and on Reddit as well.

I have not been able to reproduce it, though.

Same thing happened to me, but with dynamic link between Premiere Pro 23.4 and After Effects 23.5. I figured it's because software versions did not match. Downgraded After Effects to 23.4 and the problem was fixed.

@DanielGheorghee A version mismatch could certainly cause problems for export. For anyone who has not already done so, please make sure your Pr and Me versions match. At present, the latest public versions of each arePr2335x0566 andMe2335x0511.

We need move this thread to the Me forum now since all the reported cases are happening with Export from Me. If you have a non-Me repro case, please report that separately on the Pr forum.

Hi @新月30908541c9nt,

You might try updating After Effects and Media Encoder, as well. Then you should be free of the issue. If it still isn't working, try a new project as a test. Report back if it is still not working.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have this problem exporting from Adobe Character Animator to Media encoder.

I have exported as everything from MP4s, MOV, Img Sequences but still roughly 10% of the left side of the screen appears on the right. If i export without using Media Encoder there is no problem. All software and hardware is up to date.

Hi TJB Media,

this is a known issue, please see https://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/kb/known-issues.html and look for DYNAMIC LINK COMPATIBILITY ISSUES (WINDOWS ONLY)

As you are using Character Animator, you can either downgrade AME to 23.4 or wait for the next release and update both Character Animator and AME to 23.6.

Hope that helps.
