I'm trying to convert a .mov file to a H.264 mp4 file using Media Encoder.

The source video it is not displayed once I add it to the Queue. A black screen is shown in the Source and Output windows and Media Encoder is exporting black videos.

I am using the default preset Match Source - High Bitrate for the H.264 format.

Thanks!

    Asking our Friends at the Formats Team…

    I am not familiar with the SHQ2 format. And our Format experts aren't either. This seems to be a niche codec. Just out of curiosity: which software or device produced it?

    Our recommendation is to either try a transcode to a more common format using a transcoder such as ffmpeg or get in touch with Newtek. As you may know, we support third party importers in our products. And I don't think we will support SHQ2 directly in the near future.

    If other user also have this problem, please let us know.

    @TotiGarzia

    I've moved your post from Using the Community (for forum questions) to Adobe Media Encoder.

    Which version of AME do you use? Are you on Mac or Windows? Would you be able to share the file? I can private message you the instructions in this forum.

    I am on a Win10 machine using ME 24.1.1. On Premiere Pro v.24.1.0 I have the same issue, I cannot import .mov files. Please, find attached a screenshot of the .mov file codec info.

    Thanks
