Question

Media Encoder not installed (but it definitely is and versions are the same)! in macOS 10.14.6

Hi all,

I know this topic has been broached many times, but I've pretty much tried everything that I can to try and fix this but nothing seems to work. I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 while using the 2020 (v14.0) Adobe apps.

Things I've tried:

- uninstall Media Encoder and reinstalling it

- uninstalling every Adobe app and then reinstall them with Creative Cloud

- uninstall everything (including Creative Cloud) with Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

Please see the screenshots below. Both my Premiere and Media Encoder are running the same versions and multiple reinstalls just aren't making it work. Everything was fine until I updated my Premiere Pro a few days ago.

Thanks for reading and for any assistance provided.

Greg

Hi all,

This is not ideal. Thanks for sharing the screenshots. Could you also share a screenshot of the exact version of AME installed on your computer? You may refer to this article: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-find-the-exact-version-of-premiere-pro-you-re-using/td-p/8241053

This is for Premiere Pro but the steps are similar.

Let us know.

Thanks.

Shivangi

Hi Shivangi,

Thanks for the reply. Here's the version of AME installed on my Mac.

Here's my Premiere Pro version just in case you need it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. Have you tested if the issue same message occurs with every project? Please test a new project.

Let us know the outcome.
