Randomly takes a long time to appear in the media encoder an encode the video from AE

Why? It is completely random and often slows my process down to a halt. MacMini M2 pro chip, 16 gigs of ram. Tons of drive space.

16 GB might be a bit at the lowest end depending on your media. What kind of projects do you usually render?

I know I wish I would have gotten the 32 gig mini. However it is so random, mostly it is fast. Tonight it will not even get to the Media encoder.

Keep an eye on the activity monitor. There you can also see the memory consumption.
